Comment Policies

Following a recent interaction with an anonymous commenter, I thought it would make sense to formalize what were previously informal rules. The most significant rule I have for posting is that people need to attach their names to comments regarding union issues. I have shown you the respect of identifying who I am, you need to do the same. Other than that, folks should be thoughtful and respectful in their comments. I don't mind anonymous stuff at this point for other issues, but I might change that policy if there are problems.

About Me

robert wood: I just received my Ph.D. from the University of California-Irvine, and am currently on the job market, while working as a lecturer and writing specialist. My dissertation is on feminist science fiction from the 20th century. My analysis draws critically from marxism, feminism, Foucault, amongst others. That analysis is not simply academic, and I try to stay involved in radical activism as well.
